Punctuation   Spelling Rules
Use a period at the end of a declarative sentence.  Example:  We went to see the Tulip Festival in Lynden. Use a semicolon when a conjunction is omitted; it indicates a greater degree of separation than a comma.  Example:  The trail was steep and rocky; the wind was savage. i before e except after c, or when sounded as a as in neighbor and weigh.
